How the GOP is destroying America’s environment

GOP senators have proposed legislation to repeal President Barack Obama’s Clean Power Plan and the Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Water Rule, two major pieces of legislation that will limit greenhouse gas emissions and help fight climate change.

The Senate voted 52-48 on Thursday to begin debate on the Clean Power Rule and 48-47 to pass the Clean Water Rules, which will protect streams, wetlands and wetlands habitat.

The GOP-led House is expected to take up the Senate legislation as soon as this week.

The Senate bill would also eliminate the Environmental Defense Fund, which was established to help the environment, according to the Hill.

Senate Republicans are trying to pass a bill to end the federal government’s Clean Air Act for the first time since the mid-1990s.

They have proposed a bill that would allow states to set their own limits on CO2 emissions, while simultaneously repealing the Clean Air and Clean Water Acts.

Democrats have also tried to pass legislation that would end the Clean Energy and Conservation Acts, which have helped the coal industry, according to the Hill’s Adam Entous.

In recent months, Democrats have been trying to enact an “all of the above” energy policy agenda in response to Trump’s recent executive order, the Hill reported.

They also want to move toward a “balanced approach” in which they would cut the size of government, while continuing to invest in infrastructure and climate-change mitigation measures.

Republican lawmakers also want the EPA to be allowed to create a new carbon tax, and Democrats want the Department of Energy to be required to study ways to make electricity more energy-efficient.

Lisa Murkowski Lisa Ann MurkowskiThe Hill’s Morning Report – Kavanaugh fight makes a mockery of Kavanaugh’s ‘reputation’Senate GOP rejects Trump’s executive orders on energySenate Dems offer to probe Trump on Capitol Hill MORE (R-Alaska) told the Hill last week.

“We are going to move forward, and we are going forward with a plan that is going to give our people the certainty they need to do the things they need and deserve to do.”

“The only way we are truly going to fix this problem is to get a balanced approach that is taking into account our interests, not the interests of special interests,” she added.

Murkowski, who is facing re-election next year, said she believes that Republicans will need the support of Democrats to pass their bill.

But she added that she is worried about the possibility that Republican leaders would use the Clean Money Act to kill the Clean Powers Plan.

This bill would make it easier for the president to take steps to save the environment while protecting corporate profits.

The president is currently proposing to repeal the CleanPower Plan, which would require coal power plants to reduce emissions by at least 50 percent below 2005 levels by 2025, which is the target set by Obama.

Under the CleanMoney Act, Republicans can attach the CleanAir and CleanWater Acts to the bill and pass it with a simple majority.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) also expressed concerns about the Clean Waters Act in a tweet, noting that the bill has no chance of passing with a majority of votes.

There are also signs that the party might be willing to work with Democrats on other bills.
